This privacy notice provides you with details of how we collect and process your personal data through your use of our website (here known as the Site): motivationtoublication.com

Grounds for Data Collection 

Processing of your Personal Information is necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations towards you (goods and services you may request) and for providing you with information through our newsletter and via other activities such as workshops and courses. 

What data do we collect from you, and why?

 

We collect two types of data: 

  1. Unidentified and non-identifiable information pertaining to a User/s which may be made available or gathered via your use of the Site (Non-personal information). We are not aware of the identity of a User/s from which Non-personal Information is collected. Non-personal Information may include aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including software and hardware information (e.g. the type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, access time, etc.), in order to enhance the functionality of our Site. We may also collect information on your activity on the Site (e.g. pages viewed, online browsing, clicks, actions, etc.)
  2. Personal Information or information that identifies an individual or may with reasonable effort identify an individual. Such information includes:
    • E-newsletter information: when you register for our newsletter you will be asked to provide us with your full name and email address
    • Course, workshop or discovery call information: when you register for a course or workshop or a discovery call you will be asked to provide certain details such as your full name and email address and other information relevant to the workshop or discovery call itself
    • Purchasing information: If purchasing goods from us you will be asked to provide certain details such as your full name, your email and physical addresses, payment information and your telephone number.

How do we receive information about you?

We receive your Personal Information from various sources:

  • When you voluntarily provide us with your personal details in order to sign up for our newsletter or purchase products or services such as a workshop, or attend a discovery call
  • When you use or access our Site in connection with your use of our products or services

With whom do we share this information?

We do not rent, sell or share Users’ information with third parties, except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may use the information for the following:

  • Communicating with you – sending you information regarding our products and services, providing you with information and responding to any customer service issue you may have
  • To serve you advertisements when you use our Site
  • To market our website and products
  • For statistical and analytical purposes, intended to improve the Site

In addition to the uses listed above, we may share Personal Information with third parties, who may be located in different jurisdictions across the world. So, for example:

Sensitive Data

We do not collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive Data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership or information about your health and genetic and biometric data. We do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

Where we are required to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of the contract between us and you, and you do not provide us with that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to deliver goods or services to you). If you don’t provide us with the requested data, we may have to cancel a product or service you have ordered but if we do, we will notify you at the time.

How we Safeguard your Information

Our policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. We take great care in maintaining the security of the Site and your information. However, although we take reasonable steps to safeguard information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorised access or abuse our Site, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we can prevent such access.

To respect your right to privacy, we provide you with the means to opt out of receiving our newsletter from us. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address from our newsletter distribution list. 

Please note that even if you have unsubscribed from receiving our newsletter, this opt-out does not apply to personal data provided as a result of other transactions, such as purchases, workshop registrations, etc. Also, we may send you other types of important email communications such as reminders or administrative notices.

Third-party Websites

This Site may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our website, we encourage you to read the privacy notices of the websites you visit.

Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies. Retention periods will be determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest reasonable opportunity. We will keep records containing client personal data, account opening documents, communications and anything else for as long as required by applicable laws and regulations. 

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

We may also rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.
